Finding the Names of Local Preschools

My daughter is 4 1/2 years old now. We are planning to enroll her in preschool. Can you please tell me where to get a list of all preschools in our area? I know many schools are not listed in the Yellow Pages. - Looking
Answer: The National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies in your community will probably have a list of licensed preschools. You can find out how to contact the local agency by going online to www.childcareaware.org.
In addition, the National Association for the Education of Young Children has lists of preschools that have met the organization's high standards. This list is available online at www.naeyc.org. You also are likely to find the names of preschools in local parenting publications distributed at grocery stores, drug stores, schools and libraries.
