Test Scores and College Success

Tell the woman whose son is a horrible test taker not to be concerned. My daughter was an honor student in high school but always did poorly on standardized tests. She seemed to just be intimidated by time limits and the pressure to do well. Her SAT scores were not impressive, so she was admitted to our state university on probation. She continued to be an honor student and graduated with a grade-point average of 3.5.
