Retake the ACT or SAT

I am not sure whether I took the ACT or SAT years ago, but I am certain that I did not score very well. I am now 27 and have become a successful student. Can I retake the test and replace my poor score? - Test Taker
Answer: You can retake the ACT and the SAT as many times as you wish. You can send out your best ACT score to schools. However, schools will receive all your SAT scores, and they might not consider just your best scores.
Before you decide to retake the ACT or SAT, check with the school that you want to enter. You might not have to take either test, as your earlier scores might meet the school's entrance requirements. Plus, many schools give considerable weight to life experiences in making admission decisions.
High-school counseling offices will have registration forms for both the ACT and the SAT. Or you can get them online at (ACT) www.ACT.org or (SAT) www.collegeboard.com.
