How can we help our young children understand more about the election than simply talking about it? Can you recommend any books on this subject? -- Politically Inclined
Answer: Many books have been written on the subject of elections. Three that are fun for ages 5 and up are: "LaRue for Mayor: Letters from the Campaign Trail," "Grace for President" and "Duck for President."
For children 8 and up, there is more detailed information on the election process in "So You Want to Be President?" and "See How They Run: Campaign Dreams, Election Schemes, and the Race to the White House." Both have many humorous anecdotes.
