Building Vocabulary in Young Children

My daughter is just 4, but I would like to broaden her vocabulary. Could you give me some suggestions on how to do this? - Vocabulary Builder
Answer:There are many ways for you to build your child's vocabulary. Every family outing can be used. At the grocery store, you can acquaint her with food items that are not in her everyday vocabulary such as lima beans, pecans and prunes. A visit to a hardware store can be a definite vocabulary builder as your child learns about pliers, drills and wrenches. Even a fun trip to a railroad museum is a vocabulary builder as she picks up new words such as caboose, locomotive and diesel.
