Answer: In just whizzing through school, your daughter might not have acquired good study, thinking or problem-solving skills because she has always known the answers without having to do any work. Now her subjects are becoming harder, and she hasn't learned how to handle challenging material. This is one reason that gifted children need to do challenging work from the minute they start school.
Another possibility is that there is some health, vision or hearing problem that could be hurting her performance at school.
