Believe it or not, my daughter's counselor did not want her to take honors English next year as a junior for fear it would ruin her 3.9 grade-point average. I simply got her another counselor who approved of her taking this class. Was this the right thing to do? - For Challenges
Answer: Your daughter should have been allowed to take the more challenging class, if she wanted to do so. All students should take the most challenging curriculum that they can handle. It would have been better if your daughter and the counselor had resolved this situation.
