Benefits of Paying for Grades

You have said that parents should expect their children to work as hard in school as they do in their daily lives. However, you have overlooked the paycheck factor. Financial rewards for children's grades stimulate the same interest and are equally relevant to their achievement. Experience has taught me the benefits of paying my children for good grades. - Willing to Pay
Answer: There is one caution in paying for grades. Parents need to be realistic. Not all children can be straight-A students. With effort, however, most can receive good grades. All children who do their best in school should be given the same chance at getting a reward. Some children respond well to this approach, especially if they can earn good grades through hard work. Nevertheless, there is the negative side, which means they are working more for money than education. Hopefully, these children will come to value working hard and succeeding in school more for the intrinsic feeling of accomplishment rather than the extrinsic motivation of money.
